Photonfocus AG, is a dynamic, solidly founded start-up company. Photonfocus combines solely leading expertise in designing CMOS sensors with sound vision camera engineering. Photonfocus sells standard cameras and OEM vision modules for the industrial market. Besides standard products Photonfocus offers solutions adapted at customer's needs.
The manufacturing is organized according to the "Fabless Business Model". Photonfocus works with qualified foundries to guarantee high quality standards. Due to the fact that Photonfocus has their own sensor technology, camera and sensors are adjusted optimal. Because of that the products development cycles shorten and products correspond to the customers requirements. Therefore Photonfocus has a little dependence on external suppliers of sensors.
Photonfocus AG was founded in April 2001, as a spin-off company from CSEM, the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology. Photonsfocus' know-how in CMOS image-sensors and cameras for industrial image processing goes back to the CSEM. Photonfocus is a fast growing company. It works successfully on development and marketing of high-speed image sensors and high quality digital cameras. Those products are protected, e.g. under the registered trademark LinLog.
Lachen, Switzerland- Photonfocus AG is pleased to announce the release of the MV1-D2080-160-CL-12 CMOS camera, the first of its new 4.3 megapixel series. The camera integrates Photonfocus 3rd generation CMOS image sensor A2080, providing a resolution of 2080 x 2080 pixels at up to 34 frames per second.
The camera targets a broad range of applications including automated optical inspection of flat panels and PCBs, traffic control and advanced security. The high NIR response makes it furthermore highly suitable for military and defence as well as spectroscopy applications.

Lachen, Schwyz - Photonfocus AG is pleased to announce its new MV1-D1312C-160-CL-12 colour camera. This 1.4Mpix camera is based on Photonfocus' newly developed 3rd Generation CMOS imager A1312C (RGB Bayer). A global shutter and a high frame rate of 108fps at full resolution (1312x1082) make this the optimal camera for high speed colour applications, whereas horizontal and/or vertical windowing allow a further increase of this frame rate.
The new A1312C colour CMOS image sensor features a spectral range covering 390nm to 670nm with a cover glass acting as sharp NIR cut-off filter around 670nm. On request Photonfocus is able to deliver the A1312C image sensor or colour cameras with different cover glass characteristics.

Lachen, Schwyz - Photonfocus AG is pleased to announce its new monochrome MV1-D1312-240-CL-8 camera, which to the best of our knowledge is the world's fastest CameraLink® Base camera. Based on Photonfocus' 3rd generation CMOS image sensor A1312, the new camera offers an excellent NIR sensitivity.
Operating at the upper frame rate limit achievable over a CameraLink® Base interface, the new MV1-D1312-240-CL-8 camera reaches 217 fps at 1024x1024 pixel resolution, breaking through the 200 fps barrier at Megapixel resolution.

The new 1.4Mpix camera is based on the newly developed 3rd Generation CMOS imager A1312 from Photonfocus. The A1312 image sensor from Photonfocus was optimized for applications in the visible as well as the NIR (Near Infra Red up to 1100nm).
