The first Smart Camera
The VC11 Smart Camera , the first intelligent camera suitable for industry use, was no bigger than the industrial cameras of the time and along with it came the founding of Vision Components®.
This mechanically and electrically outstanding concept was the start of the success story of the innovative “Smart Camera People”.
Freely programmable Smart Cameras from Vision Components® stand for optimum performance. They are miraculous for their tiny size and manage the same performance without an additional PC.
Many users can hardly believe that the computing power of Smart Cameras is comparable to that of conventional PC-based image processing systems and therefore often underestimate their possible applications. But it is obvious in practice that all industrial image processing applications can be resolved just as well or even more efficiently with intelligent cameras.
The fact that Smart Cameras can manage without an additional PC means that there are no PC operating, maintenance and upgrade costs. They do not need a control cabinet and are more reliable, because they contain neither fans nor hard disks. They also have real-time and network capability.
