Very fast 1.3 megapixel with 500 fps

The new MV2-D1280-640 camera was developed for customers requiring very high frame rates. The camera delivers around 500fps @ full resolution of 1280 by 1024 Pixel. The speed of the camera can further be increased by reducing the ROI – Region of Interest.

 

CameraLink® Full interface with 8 and 10 tap mode

The double connector, at the back of the camera, characterises the high speed CameraLink® Full interface. The transfer of a picture with high frame rates over a Camera Link® cable involves high clock rates. The higher the clock rate on a cable the shorter the cable has to be in order to avoid interferences and with it a distorted image transfer.

The new Photonfocus camera allows switching from 8 to 10 tap mode. In the 10 tap mode the same amount of total data can be transferred with a lower clock rate, thus allowing a longer CameraLink® cable to be used.

The new MV2-D1280-640 camera offers, as an optional feature, the possibility for image pre-processing to be done in the camera already. Customer specific image pre-processing algorithms can be implemented in the FPGA of the camera for volume applications.

Easy to use

The camera can be controlled via the existing Photonfocus software PFRemote 2.x or the available SDK, which is the same software used to control all Photonfocus camera models.
